Christian holds a Doctor in Business Administration. In 1996 he began his airline pilot carrier since then he held various position in Pilot Training, Flight Operation, and Process Improvements. In addition to his current function as A320 captain and manager of Flight Safety at JetBlue Airways (USA), he consults on operational effectiveness and human factors in flight operations and training. He has extensive work experience in competency-based training and has given lectures on AQP/AQTP in the United States, Europe, and Asia. In 2015, he and Captain Christof Kemény co-developed the OneTeam Cockpit concept as a Human Factor centric method to the design of SOPs and a means to improve interpersonal communication in the cockpit.

Christian is also a scientific cooperation partner at the Institute of Human Factors.
