AvGroup Chairman, Robert Booth has announced the formation
of a strategic alliance with RDG for the purpose of assisting
in the growth of more air service to, from and within Latin
American.
According to Booth,
the initiative will commence with Regional Americas, an
airline/airport networking event to be held in Cancun February
10-12, 2008. The event is organized by RDG, supported by
AvGroup and hosted by ASUR.
The agreement also calls
for the establishment of an AvGroup/RDG presence in Miami,
Fl to better serve the needs of the Americas and the development
of new business opportunities.
"We are extremely
pleased and excited to formalize a business alliance with
RDG" said Mr. Booth. "We have known the principals
of RDG for a number of years and look forward in playing
a major role in the introduction of RDG to the Americas".
RDG is the world's largest
independent air service development company and is the organizer
of ROUTES, the world Route Development Forum, now in its
14th year. The 2007 version of Routes was held in Stockholm
this last September and attracted over 2,300 air service
development professionals from over 500 major airlines and
600 airports from all over the world. The 2008 ROUTES is
scheduled for October 12-14 in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia and
is hosted by Malaysia Airports.
