GMAA's Board Elections 2007

Greetings!

I am chairman of the GMAA Nominating Committee for the elections of officers for April 2007 to March 2008 and for four open directors’ positions with a three- year term.

To obtain the widest possible input to the Committee for candidates, I solicit recommendations to the Committee for nominations and any comments you wish to share.

Below is a list of the current Board. Leaving the Board will be Roland Moore, Marc Henderson, Bob Mitchell and Bill Cade, all of whom were appointed to fill director seats that were vacant due to directors Garcia, Owens, Jarman and Cain sitting on the Board as officers. Also leaving the Board are the six officers.

Any leaving director or officer may be nominated in addition to any member in good standing (up to date on dues and monies owed to GMAA).

Also on the Committee are Bennie Benitez, Carol Jarman, Marc Henderson and Oscar Garcia.

We want to meet by January 31 and must present our nominations to the Board by the second Wednesday of March. The nominations will then be announced to the members at or before the Wednesday luncheon/annual meeting of GMAA in March. At this meeting, any member in good standing may nominate any other member in good standing.

The election then takes place by mail with the winners taking office at the luncheon meeting in April.
