Luciano is an executive with over 20 years of proven success mainly in commercial areas of top tier multinational companies, with profound experience in FMCG and service markets within highly complex organizations. His track record highlights local and international achievements leading multi-cultural and multi-functional teams across all levels of the organization. He is a member of YPO, a loving father of 3 children and a proud volunteer & board member of non-profit organizations, among them Junior Achievement Americas where he serves as Board Chair starting January 2020.
In his current role at Delta Air Lines, Luciano Macagno is Managing Director – Latin America, Caribbean, and South Florida, where he oversees Delta’s cross-commercial and matrix activities across the region. Delta’s stated goal is to become the best U.S. carrier in Latin America and the Caribbean, where the airline currently operates into 30 countries across the region. His team advocates for the success of the brand, constantly elevating the customer experience and establishing a unique connection with local markets and communities.
Based in Miami, Luciano leads these efforts throughout the region with a special focus on the customer-centric service that supports the company’s growth in the region. This includes working to elevate Delta’s community and civic engagement among U.S. Hispanic and Latin American customers both in Latin America as well as South Florida. Together with Delta’s codeshare partners, Delta operates more than 500 domestic and 80 international flights each week.
Prior to joining Delta in 2014, Luciano was at LATAM Airlines Group SA, where he held key leadership roles while relocating with his family throughout the region, such as Head of Sales and Marketing for Brazil, Regional Director for South America based out of Chile and management positions in Argentina. Luciano also carries a decade of consumer goods experience in areas of Sales, Marketing and Strategy at AB-InBev and Danone.
Born in Argentina and raised in the U.S., Luciano is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
